Stories of Adult Music Learners
Stories of Adult Music Learners is a Public Humanities mini-podcast series and multimedia project that shares the stories of adults who are learning to play a musical instrument for the first time, or relearning an instrument played in their younger days.
The project showcases participants’ personal journeys as musicians; their joys, motivations, struggles, benefits music has brought into their lives, and the meaning they place on their musical experiences.
The project also seeks the perspective of music teachers, professional organizations, and grassroots music programs striving to meet the needs of adult musicians of all playing abilities.
The project is young and in need of participants! Please check out the Participate page to learn how you can contribute.
